Rethinking Materials in the Context of LEED^®,
AIA Accredited Continuing Education

The Homasote Company approached 7group to help increase the company’s presence in the green building market. Homasote has been manufacturing building and packaging materials from post-consumer and post industrial waste paper in North American since 1909.

7group developed a programmed DVD green building presentation for the Homasote sales force to deliver as an AIA continuing education program. The one hour program details the integrated design process and the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED green building rating system through scripted notes and interviews with national green building experts. In effect, the programmed DVD format allows Homasote to “share” the perspectives of green building experts within the CE workshop format. Homasote has received a very positive response from the design community and has begun the development of a second CE program.
