Alvin Changco

Alvin Changco is President of West Main Consultants, LLC, a sustainable materials consulting firm and a 7group company. He manages client projects pursuing LEED certification and reviews certifications under the USGBC’s LEED green building rating system. In addition, he provides intellectual property and general corporate legal services with a particular focus on developing property right issues in international carbon emissions programs and policies. Alvin earned a Juris Doctorate degree from Villanova School of Law, a Masters of Science degree from Case Western Reserve University in the Department of Biochemistry, and a BS degree in biochemistry from Albright College.

Brad Kise

Brad Kise is an Accountant/ Bookkeeper with Energy Opportunities, Inc., a 7group company, and maintains Energy Opportunities’ financial records. He also gathers utility data from more than 60 nonprofit organizations on an annual basis and prepares utility cost and consumption reports for the nonprofit organizations so they can assess their building energy performance. Brad received a BS in Business Administration and a MBA from Shippensburg University.

Brian Toevs

Engineer, CxA

When it comes to commissioning, Brian Toevs, P.E., is hard-wired for the task. As founder and president of BETA Engineers, PC, his 20 years experience in building systems design has given him hands-on expertise in building subsystems ranging from fire protection, dust collection and sanitary sewer to process piping, ventilation and HVAC. He took that expertise and began doing commissioning work five years ago, and hasn’t looked back. He is a widely respected commissioning agent, serving that role for a wide range of facilities, including government office buildings, correctional facilities and schools, along with commercial office buildings, hospitals, industrial facilities and wastewater treatment facilities. As a noted building forensics investigator, Brian specializes in cause and origin investigations.

Cam Fitzgerald

Cam S. Fitzgerald, is a graduate of Penn State with a BS in Energy Technology, a Mechanical Engineer registered in Pennsylvania, and a LEED Accredited Professional. She joined Energy Opportunities, Inc., a 7group company, with over 20 years of HVAC, building control, and plumbing system design experience. Using energy models for projects seeking LEED Certification, she assists with evaluation of the impact of construction materials and mechanical system on life cycle cost, reviews the technical energy and indoor air quality credits for LEED certifications, and performs energy audits for local non-profit organizations, providing recommendations for improved operating efficiency.

Chris Fortney

Chris Fortney is a Documentation Specialist for BETA Engineers, PC, a 7group company. Chris’ duties include processing incoming documentation including equipment submittals and drawings. She prepares and organizes the final version of the construction checklists which are then delivered to the contractors. Chris also collects and organizes Operation and Maintenance documentation for Systems Manuals and develops the electronic and hard copies of the Final Commissioning Report.

Cristina Argeles

Cristina Argeles is a senior project manager at West Main Consultants, LLC, a 7group company, where she focuses on project management, development and implementation. She is an expert in the USGBC’s LEED green building rating system, serves as the liaison to USGBC for 7group’s LEED certification reviews contract, serves as a technical reviewer for certifications, and works closely with clients interested in pursuing LEED certification for their building projects. She also assisted in the development of the Cool Climate Concrete (C3) Program, a carbon offset program using blended cements as a carbon mitigation strategy. She earned a Master of Environmental Management degree from the Nicholas School of the Environment at Duke University where she sits on the Alumni Council. Her focus of study was resource economics and policy. She also received a BS degree in biology and environmental sciences and policy from Duke University.

Gerren Wagner

Gerren Wagner is a LEED-AP with Energy Opportunities, Inc., a 7group company, specializing in energy and environmental consulting services. Her main responsibilities include reviewing LEED certification documentation for USGBC, managing the coordinated completion of LEED certification reviews within the office, and performing general office management tasks. Gerren earned a BS in Spanish from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania and is currently completing coursework towards a degree in Structural Design and Construction Engineering Technology at Penn State Harrisburg.

Jamie Schrum

Jamie Schrum recently joined the commissioning team at BETA Engineers, PC, a 7group company. He has completed dual apprenticeships to become a journeyman HVAC/sheet metal technician and journeyman plumber/pipefitter, and is also a certified NABCEP installer for photovoltaic power systems, certified welder and certified electromechanical technician. Jamie has extensive experience with architectural roofing systems, including copper and stainless steel, and has lived his whole life exposed to building environmental systems and the construction industry through both his grandfather’s plumbing and heating sales company and his father’s mechanical contracting businesses. These experiences are behind Jamie’s familiarity with and motivation to advance his knowledge and further his understanding in these fields. He earned his Associate of Arts degree in Liberal Arts from Wilkes University, and is currently pursuing Associates degrees in HVAC Engineering Technology and Renewable Energy from Harrisburg Area Community College.
