Project Architect and Designer for the following selected High-Performance Green Buildings

  • PA DEP Cambria Office Building, Ebensburg, PA: Selected by the American Institute of Architects (AIA) as one of the Top Ten Green Projects nationwide in 2000, this 36,000 SF office building was the first building in the U.S. to achieve LEED v2 Gold Level Certification. It was one of 16 projects nationwide to receive a 2001 Honor Award from the American Consulting Engineers Council (ACEC) and one of five projects selected to represent the U.S. team at the international GBC 2000 in The Netherlands. Itwon first prize for Solar Electric Buildings in 2002 from the Northeast Sustainable Energy Association (NESEA) and a 2001 PA Governor’s Award for Environmental Excellence.
  • Clearview Elementary School, Hanover, PA: This new 43,000 SF facility became Pennsylvania’s first LEED Certified school. It achieved LEED v2 Gold Level Certification in 2004 and was one of five projects selected to represent the U.S. Team at the international GBC 2002 Conference held in Oslo, Norway. It won First Prize for Places of Learning in 2003 from NESEA, Second Place nationwide in 2004 from the Sustainable Building Industry Council, a DesignShare National Award for Innovative Schools in 2003, an Excellence in Design Award from Environmental Design+Construction, a 2003 PA Governor’s Award for Environmental Excellence, and two Excellence in Design awards from AIA.
  • PA DEP Southeast Regional Office Building, Norristown, PA: This 110,000 SF urban office building achieved LEED v2 Gold Level Certification in 2005.It won the 2005 Grand Prize for Excellence in Design - Government Buildings Award from Environmental Design+Construction magazine.
